Short sonnet

mercy is for those
who remember their clothes
as they flee the lover;
and for they
who cherish the day
they have to run for cover;
grace is for he
who climbs the tree
so it wont get knocked over;
and for her
who sees for sure
the fairy hidden in clover;
and in truth, hope is lost,
mercy and grace carry a cost,
of this none can deny,
for intelligence is so unkind,
as with wisdom, which is blind,
