can you see

everything through my eyes

like a lens you try out

on your personal perception camera

sight into an alternate point of view

end the staring at a wall type situation

jump the gun and break

under that roadblock of exact equation

daring and brave As a quickly placed final bet

growing in the understanding of being social

empty and testy are those who are not kind like me

maybe if I had more fear I could be more normal

exit strategy not required once more

nowhere is a choice

terminate the hesitations

show yourself that you can do it

while the wind wrestles

more leaves from the trees

and the doom curled in

so very naturally

each day I wake with

pain and each night I

go to sleep with pain

but the inspirational stories

just keep pouring in and out

like giant feeling of the tide

of the ocean that is my brain

and I will not rest until later in life

when the clock

will choose a block

and the final grains of sand

are gathering fast

within the hourglass

but I hope some of my

actions and words

can make a person’s day better

and that is what I strive to do

But the test is if

the red sunset will tell me

was it eventually the best

that I could be

and I gave everything I am

to you

as I feel some days

often that is just a passing thought

Mostly just when I need to have confidence

it arrives with a backpack full of worry

nothing can stop me if I don’t want it to

attempt the impossible before I would give up

these goals aren’t going to accomplish themselves

empty nests and wild storms time of year

dedicated to lining up my polar bear family history

strong enough to push through whatever comes my way

yield to no problem and meet head on all objections

wacky waves don’t stop me and no person can either

the inanimate objects even watch out for me around here

end the frustration

make a new resistance

stay true to your story

these are the days when

right now

the definition of a world of hurt

is waiting

as soon as you wake

and the sun ain’t so fun

and the moon is too soon

and there is no

plan of action anymore

but you keep trudging on the road

like a long hike through a swamp

and the moments stretch like headaches

or a jog through quicksand

but you must keep on

every February has its October

and every January a December

watching the clock just hurts

but you must

keep on

we all dirt nap eventually
