Sky and birds, trees and clouds
Times when may moments arrive
Against the backdrop of mountains pure
Taken for a ride on a memory train
Eager to awake daily once again
Only one pair of eyes perks me up
From a drifting dream of existing
Zipping among a worthwhile chain of thinking
Elder history next to quick electrical connections
Nothing I want to do but relax with your blue eyes

On the moment that it is freed
Across the street is a old dog resting
Red tongue showing the temperatures
In the moment of relaxation
Nothing is better than a cold drink
Given by a friend on this
Wide sky kind of day
I am picturing you and I
Nodding off as the house cools
Doing zero movement while hidden cozy

illuminating eye

I was not prepared with the day
Losing my keys was just icing on the cake
Late to my own funeral, probably
Using my brain to over think things
Many times I doubt my instinct…
Issuing a fireplace to the food
Nine days after the house spoke up
As the horizon turns as red as cranberry juice
Thick skin is what life demands
It’s true that I am all scarred anyways
Nickel colored shirt soaked through with
Great feelings when you get to accomplish
Everything you know
You wanted to have done
Ending the evening with your smile and my sigh

Into the evening is relaxing
None of the racing thoughts
From the day when a salty brain won’t learn
Or even register when to not
Relay the words out of the air…
Mystery from when ever a lightning storm
Again lets you know what went wrong emotionally
Together with the only drink
In the house
Organized homes show how boring you are
Now that the dog barks at every person who
Knocks on the door
Each minute I need you more and more
Yearning for the first, but not last, embrace of the day

Retreating is no longer an option
Entering into a new land of freedom
Lost in a realm of possibility
Anchored in a potentially dangerous situation
Testing fate while the wind blows…
In a final resting place of golden dawn
Organic thoughts that ‘recreate
Night is when we experienced a bond
She tells me that I must come home
Her eyes tell a whole litany of stories
I am on my way before I even leave
Pleased to be the one you call
From the final choice a burning heart needs
Ending one season to launch another
Every hour without you near is torturous

Claimed as if so far away
Over the lines of miscommunication
Making the verification of any
Path that is true about half the time
Letting go in the county of the arena of kings
Eager to get something done but nothing to prove
Today is better than all the yesterdays
Exit the room but not the building
Like a canvas that has been released
Yelling at myself In my own head
Sifting through the corrections that need to be made
Unless I am so busy I believe you
Beaches of trust I have seen,
mountains of closeness I have been
I am so far past falling for you
That I cannot picture life without you in it

Tough as a rock dropping off a cliff
Against the side of a battleship
Keeping my head up is so easy
Ending the fire I just walked out of
Care and desire joining forces
And becoming my welded armour
Roasting the sun over my skin
Effortless smiles that
Pick apart the doubts that
Order my brain what to think
Like a war torn emotionally heated
Anchor which i had designed myself
Reading the book right before the rest
Begins as if I was asleep
Eager to do a real good job
Assuming nothing while observing everything

Collect the electrical emotional shock
Using the evidence of where a current was
Reading some information I was seeing yesterday
Roasting in the sun of some garlic butter fun
Evidence of some premeditated thought
Never mind how much I avoided sunshine
This is the need for communicating
Having a room full of people listening to a robot
In a familiar setting that has smiled and dancing ideas,
Some heads peeking over cubicles like ground hogs
Tighten the hold on a free range attention span
Only those who have self control succeed
Right when emotion has come out of hiding but
You are my toasty relaxing fire in December tonight
