playing in the storm

a dream a test

ready for the best or the worst

taking a final breath before going off the deep end

only you can bring me down from the cliff edge

following the last grasp of our favorite place

young as we are the time is near

our time is both valued and fragile for both of us

unless I get to go out there is a chance I am prowling

placing the rock back home
echoing and making a garden grow
roasting and sure and evidentially here
maybe a season to
ache and angst and angry seek
no time out unless it is alone
every night a dream
not a day without waking
taking a taste of everything
being here for her on every occasion
ready to run
unless we sleep
in the still of the nighttime
saying everything
ending the talk with a kiss

making the wind
yawn at me from the right direction
has the effect of a full tank of gas
evidenced by the hop of each step
across the streets that I knew so well
reading this atmosphere in the feel of the mood
tasting the snapshot of a life with each breath
into the sky I see the steam of my life
soft little echoes of many dimensions of city
often I find myself in the area and walking
nice memory park might as well be its name
fire in the brain and heart will not stop this time
if it comes time to learn I am
ready to suffer and be as persistent as I can
easily conquered is not the kind of life I want
