steady discretion

so when you were young and were told to nap

there are people who could not do it unless
every single other person obeyed
and they are getting up when the sun goes down now
dirty hands that must be washed when
young ones sit at the dinner table
daring minds that take on challenges
in the times when the strong are driven to rise up
stop taking what you are given and grab what you desire
catch that idea fish swimming in the river
remember nobody can stop you unless you let them
everyone all over the world knows
the resilient spirit has the best results
inside your mind you seek new growth
on occasion you wake up ready to conquer the world
now is the howling at the moon of life
