late night conflict

letting the door stay open a second
as we kiss
then close up and begin the warmth
easing into the most relaxing time possible
nobody could disrupt our laziness tonight
it could be hours before we stand up again
growing more and more glad and
happy in our overwhelming not-tired sleepiness
talking with movements more than any words
connected like being each other’s power charge cord
optically we are locked in to the system and i will
never forget what you told me on christmas
from now until i get my last breath
let me never take any of this for granted
if i can i will be by your side
coursing through the veins of pure existence
tasting the time together
