tempered intensity

there are some things i have
evidentially learned the hard way when i
must remember to not be too fun or funny
people let you know how much they do not like it
even when you are
really interesting and very exciting, they say don’t be,
end that idea
don’t be afraid to be too nice or too smart
it will help you in the way life rolls your dice
nobody tells you what you are worth
the wind of change
evicts all doubt in the direction of creativity
nobody is going to see your group of ideas anyway yet
sometimes you just have to live for yourself
“it could always be worse” is a terrible saying to use
things could never be better than they are now
you like my fun and want me around
