the earthy connection

To step hand in hand with you
How much I have wished we could get out
Effortlessly joining a growing world green
Each time I have returned
Approaching the sigh of nature
Roasting in the golden
Taking my time to absorb
How glorious the day will be
Young ferns and old trees
Curling river around their feet
Off to the left a spider builds a home
Nudged across a branch very long
Nickel colored rocks see and
Empathize
Claiming this day as a recharge
Invited into the relaxation of this moment
On a clear few hours of bliss
No delight is complete without you
