place

yours is the hidden couch

next to the angry fountain

beside a fern

and you don’t know apologies

you play and pursue

you have a delicate side that waits by the river

and you have an angry side that drifts in the mountain

you blaze a cold trail

at least once every couple of moons

you decide your fate and then choose otherwise

you have a vulture on one shoulder

deciding your tiny feast

and you have a mustang on your other shoulder

full of hoof steps heard in the night

you claim a long way travelled

but you were here just yesterday

you need to learn how to wink convincingly

and you need to learn how to lie even more unconvincingly

you will breathe

open air

whenever you want

very soon
