I see the storms rising and
I have been to close to the fury of fire before
less than 500 miles from my home
there is a peace officer
who is now a soldier of fortune
and the crowds on the other side
are angry citizens
who no longer want to change by vote
and now want to see the tide of destruction roll back
upon those who wield the
weapons meant for army use
on the very people who pay the salary
that the men in helmets get
and the people asking questions
are just as likely
to get a bruise as an answer
and the worst part
is that sometimes following orders
doesn’t enforce law
it encourages hate
