for all the years we have not been here
on this day I would like to recall
right action and direct conversation only
ending this hesitation which we have cradled
voting for the return to our own mental stability
each bite of the cake was as happy as a
romantic evening at the best place in town
if there aren’t enough ways to describe it then
stall the plane before it becomes too late
nothing can stop the end of the days
only you can make me want to live forever
this is something that I couldn’t have foreseen
enough time has burned into my brain that
now I must let the final years wear on
offering up the meat to the altar of our existence
unless it means the sacrifice of our own best
guess as to what was going to be our future
having this time with a star of tiny sky
