determined wilderness

doing all that you
ever wanted when it comes to
the future day before the year really
ends and begins all at the same time
right when you think life is decided, it
makes a move that is sure to surprise you
in a cold dark night or in the bright of day
nobody can tell you for sure what their future brings
even a true psychic can be surprised
dark forces, demons and spirits, angels and ghosts
will all seem believable once you look in the eyes of
intimate wilderness
like the abyss of any spiritual imagination
don’t doubt the instincts that you feel
empty your mind and see what you experience
relating to whatever your heart needs
narrow eyes and a growl from the clouds
evicts whatever internal dialogue exists
stopping an outside world for a few hours
sigh like the forest in a calm warm blanket
