different realities

don’t think about
it too much because when the
fire starts it will not stop and you
find out real quick that it changes everything
even when you find someone to make your heart sing
ready when you discover someone who drives you to try
even makes you not want to die
now you change your stride
take that winning bet and let it ride
right in time
even if you did not know it
allowing another surprise to show its face
like a runner who keeps going even
if they already ended the race
take a moment to seek a calm minute
its like the saying you gotta be in it to win it
every time i kiss you my brain explodes like happy
so much exuberance

remain very surprised

right now the final day of
every week is only perfect if i get with you
maybe i should just
always pretend that you are here
in case this reality takes a left turn
needs are not even on my radar
vital as the purpose of deep breath
easy as a step forward when you are leaving the plane
really doesn’t matter if you are de-boarding or skydiving
your just gotta know where your are going and if you get there
sometimes the surprises are all in your mind
until you know that you can possibly get lost
played, like you think people are following you when they’re not
reality is not the same for every person
invisible is for sure sometimes how i feel and it
sure is a good feeling every once in a while
even if you know you are out of place
do not let that stop you from getting the right headspace

elimination redundancy

energized by
little moments reminding me of
inspiration i have to protect
my goals and what i am doing to get there,
if i knew everything then that i know now,
nobody even saw me for years
and every person i talked
to never ended up seeing me ever again,
it was like being a ghost,
not unlike running from a
goal right in front of you,
rise to the occasion and find out how
easy it is for you to face difficult fears,
dusting off the old capabilities
under the sword and still not worried,
now these reset buttons begin to
determine the day before it arrives,
attempt to get moving more and more each day,
notes to myself keep piling up,
can’t the floor just catch me this time?

mountain windowpane

maybe tonight
our energies will be calming and
under our roof will only be healthy and
naturally occurring bits of bliss like
taking a bath or a cup of hot chocolate
and watching trees dance as we stay
inside and rustle about and roam around
not many lights on but a candle or two
while we wait for darkness to arrive
interests that require almost no movement yet
nearby is a small furry snoring one
definitely putting on some comfy socks
opening a few cans
while putting my feet up and
placing the meat on some heat
and closing my eyes to listen to some sounds outside
now if i could stay this way untill
everything goes away

across the days like a lazy breeze
directing the season to cease
very red frosting out that piece of cake
if the temperature was perfect it would
stay exactly like this but
extract the time to stay focussed once again
find the motivation to make the plans work
only i can translate my dreams to completion
like a harvest that has already been sold
letting the moon decide where to go tonight
on the wings of the wind rides our motivation
while a destination
is busy choosing us this time
none of the hours are ordinary anymore
got to work real hard in order to
stay inside that vacation brain state

attention depleted

adjust your expectations
take this path of least temptation
terror only comes if you
evoke the side of yourself that put you there before
not one day goes by that i do not write to you
tossing aside the unimportant possessions
in an effort to run the longer race
oil the engine with a few really good books
narrow down the confusion and remember where i am
dedicated to granting my love’s every wish
each day a meal of whatever she wishes
pleasing those eyes reveals a smile
like the grin of a snapdragon when the sun creeps in
each thought is her finger running along my skin
that makes me twitch and have lines like a lazer lightswitch
empty as a clockface with no numbers
don’t want free time anymore

done with even trying to think normally
everyone does it different and
letting go of average expectations can only help
each day its own animal
those every person blues are a
equalizing experience that
stops you for just a second from working through
entire hours wasted staring at a screen
right when action can halt the fire from starting
if a single simple plan can be enacted
only for those dedications which the lonely hope for
under the radar of compliant normalcy
sustained by the passions of a thousand other dreams
needlessly wanting and worrying like
each drop of rain is the next end of the world
stay and lets dance all night,
stars and moon should be our mood lighting

confusion awesomeness

can’t you see the area arrives to us
on wings made of golden light,
now that we delay or stay and play,
from this moment forward,
understand that the bar has been set,
sounds that mean the game has changed,
it can also be like an uncomfortable sickness,
only worse because there is no escape,
not unlike a constant rolling toothache but,
always longer and more painfull and in your torso,
while the last days are here, lets just
evoke a few incredible memories to share,
stop doubting and work to fix a problem,
or count the days until the end of the calendar,
merge your previous thinking with a new found future,
empty your expectation vessel,
needless to know what your options are,
estimations do not help if you are already through it,
sometimes it feels like you save me,
sometimes it feels like you light that fire under me

complicated weekend

coming back in from the
optimal time being away,
making it through the day is
permanent acceptance of
letting yourself decide your own speed,
information is never as accurate as
coming up with brand new ideas
and inspiration can sneak up on you,
testing how prepared the future is,
eventually everything must be settled in,
destroyed, rearranged, or purposefully unorganized,
working to keep a steady ship never ends,
eventually becoming too large a burden,
even though sometimes it recalls a dream,
keep the final step in the back of your mind,
endure these last messages and
name your poison,
do not think twice about this next step in life

unwilling

under the soil
not even that weight can stop
when this red desire is born again
is taking over the intimate belief in
letting of the blood as the air greets it
like healing from a few centuries of
intense cuts and scrapes, scars and lost tissue
nifty sneakiness and quick sharpened teeth
getting the most out of those close midnight hours
very unhappy to be back here again
among the people who never looked twice
made to see what is now
perhaps the last face they will ever see
if you are easily scared at the movies then
right here is not the ideal place to be
